Rala , Alex Benekele (A B)

26 Aug 2026: Unit leftover "101 Battalion, Romeo Mike Team" → Eastern Province Command (SAWGP Regiment, no Unit); Regiment "South African Army" → Eastern Province Command (SAWGP Regiment).
25 Sep 2026, Unit2 service-branch sweep: the stored Secondary Unit "Army" was CLEARED as a duplicate. It was not a sub-unit, it was a service-branch word repeating what the Branch column already says. Secondary Unit is for sub-units -- a company, a squadron, a commando -- and this record's branch of service is unchanged at "Army".
Col (rt) Graham du Toit Last Post 27 Sep 2026: "94673159 Captain Alex Benekele Rala from Eastern Province Command died of disease in Port Elizabeth. He was 40." Confirms the record; this record's "Died of Medical Reason, at Port Elizabeth, while off duty" is consistent with, though less specific than, Graham's "died of disease".
