Maj. A.D. Lawrenson was my father and he did not participate in the the SWA Border conflict. He was however active in the Korean War in 1952 and died flying a Dornier at Belfast, OFS? at the age of 42. He was awarded the Bronze Star as well as the Distinguished Flying Cross plus other medals of which I don't have details at this minute.
Dedications 1
Major Anthony (Tony) Lawrenson was my father. He was a thorough gentleman and a dedicated and well respected pilot. Unfortunately, he died all too early at the age of 42 leaving a great void in the lives of those who knew him. Just last week he 'winked' at me when a military plane dipped its wings in a fly past above my house. I felt he was just letting me know he is still here in spirit.
