Col (rt) Graham du Toit Last Post 27 Sep 2026: "97083208PV Rifleman Simanga Mafunda Gumede from 1 SAI was critically injured when the Ratel in which he was traveling in overturned during a training exercise. He was rushed to 3 military Hospital where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after admission. He was 25." Confirms the record and adds that it was a training exercise and that he died after being rushed to hospital, which this record's bare "Ratel rolled during..." did not say.
