Col (rt) Graham du Toit Last Post 24 Sep 2026: "66470279PE Chief Petty Officer Anthony John Franchi from Naval Base Simonstown, attached to 453 Parachute Battalion, died in 2 Military Hospital in Wynberg after suffering Cardio-Respiratory failure. He was 43." Cause of death filled out -- the stored text read only "Died of Medical Reason, at Cape Town", naming neither the condition nor the hospital. Wynberg is within Cape Town, so the two agree. The unusual posting -- a Navy chief petty officer attached to a parachute battalion -- was already on this record and Graham confirms it.
25 Sep 2026, Unit2 service-branch sweep: the stored Secondary Unit "Army" was CLEARED. It was not a sub-unit, it was a service-branch word, and it CONTRADICTED this record's own Branch, "Navy". Across the roll 787 records carried such a contradiction; judged against Corps and Regiment -- independent of both columns -- the evidence backed Branch 744 times and Unit2 not once.
