Died of injuries, received in a shooting incident. He was standing guard at the Selelekela High School on Orlando, Soweto. A rifle was dropped and a shot went off, hitting him in the head. He was first taken to Baragwanath Hospital but then airlifted to 1 Mil Hospital where he died
