Killed in Action 4th August 1900 Elands River Western Transvaal. No. 2518 British South Africa Police. One of the garrison of 505 Rhodesians and Australians besieged 4th - 16th August 1900. Most likely one of the gun crew with a 7 pounder muzzle-loader, the only artillery piece with the British forces.
