13 Sep 2026: Pinetown Roll of Honour confirms: Pte C. Lake, 2nd South African Infantry, killed at Delville Wood. Their date "19-02-1916" is very likely a transcription slip for 19 July 1916 (Delville Wood was fought 14-20 July 1916, matching this record's 1916-07-19, not February). Named on the Wayside Cross, Pinetown.
