Killed in action, in a large scale bombing raid that was mounted against Amiens railway station but the weather was so bad that the attack was aborted. Lancaster ND689 KM-O however never made it home crashing into one of the lakes

Son of McIntyre Wilson Ingram and Freda Ingram, of Plumtree, Southern Rhodesia. He was born on May 8th, 1924, and entered Plumtree School as a day scholar attached to Grey House in January, 1937. He was. a L/Cpl. in the Cadet Corps, and before leaving in December 1941, he passed his Cambridge School Certificate examination obtaining Matric. exemption. He was employed in the Native Department for a short while before attesting for the R.A.F. On Plumtree School Roll of Honour
